Texas Independence Day

Texas Independence Day marks the adoption of the Texas Declaration of Independence on March 2, 1836. On this day, 59 delegates came together to formally proclaim Texas as a sovereign nation, breaking away from Mexican rule and establishing the Republic of Texas.
